illustration day mates! i think i really should study how cool/warm light and shadow works because i have no idea what i’m doing. this time i snuck in a few sedna easter eggs. see if you can spot any (that is if you can be bothered).

fun fact: the saturn jigsaw puzzle is actually based on a true story. my sister gave me a 1,000 piece jupiter jigsaw last christmas and is was by far the hardest puzzle i’ve ever completed in my life. still, it was worth it just for the moment when we put the last piece in while blasting the musical piece ‘jupiter’ from ‘the planets, op 32’ by gustav holst. i know i’m a dork but it felt good man.

The three ones I’m assuming you’re talking about are the comic panels (to be specific, the photo in the back is of the first Sedna comic, and the calendar is from the first new series Sedna comic. I’m not sure what the one on the left is from, but it looks like Sedna Classic). A possible fourth one I found might be the shuttle on the table, which looks similar to the kite Sedna has in comic 82 in the Classic series, but it’s also just a shuttle, so
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good eye. The one on the left is the original icon for classic Sedna which was used on sites like Tapas and Webtoons before I replaced it. I figured very few people would recognise it. Muahaha!

The toy shuttle has been in a whole bunch of (new) Sedna comics. It’s usually just sitting around somewhere in her room, but she actually plays with it in the 11th comic. Not sure if that would count as an easter egg or not so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now that you mention it, maybe I need to bring back the shuttle kite at some point. It was a cute idea.

Haha, yeah, I never would have gotten that. I only read the comic on the website, and I only started reading it just a few months ago (in which I binged the whole thing in a night. Best reason to stay up late ever).

Hey, a fellow nighttime binge-reader! Actually, the whole reason I designed the website and the comic border to be completely black is to look extra awesome in the dark (I wonder if this is the only webcomic that does that), so I’m glad at least one person got to experience it properly. :D
