hey, astronomy comics! remember those?

apparently i’m committing to doing a series of comics like the moon ones at the beginning of sedna about all 8 planets, so we’re starting it off with nobody’s favourite planet, mercury. before you all roll your collective eyes though, i promise there’s a whole bunch of interesting stuff about mercury, so hopefully by the end of this little comic series you’ll all gain at least some appreciation for this particular ball of rock in space.

probably should point out that not every supernova is quite as bright as its entire galaxy (there’s not a lot of room for nuanced explanation in these comics), but the fact that it’s even comparable to hundreds of billions of stars is impossible to get your head around.

Well, turns out there’s a big flood in north-western Australia and I’ve been stuck in a roadhouse with no internet until just now when a lovely gentleman hotspotted his phone for me. …And I didn’t take my own advice about uploading stuff in advance, because I’m stupid. Anyway, I’ve got a bit of a buffer now, so I’m gonna’ try really hard not to miss any more updates for the next month while I’m away from home. Please don’t be mad at me.

I’m really sorry about not posting any comics last week. I was riding my motorbike through the desert in Australia, and shockingly, there was no reception. Probably should have planned that a bit better. My bad.

Hey remember when I said Sedna would update once a week for “a few weeks”… 7 months ago? Well, don’t listen to me next time I say that. Obviously I have no time-management skills.

Anyway, I’m finally cutting back on anime and Total War and going back to two a week, so come back every Tuesday for more poorly-drawn space/dino zaniness. Let’s see how long it lasts this time.
